Arbor excelsa. EamuH foliosi, glabri, cortice grisco rugdoso. Gemma fnlvo-
tomentosae. Folia basi rotandata, obtuse acuminata, coriacea, utriaque glabra, supra
nitida, subtus paliida et (in sicco) reticulato-venulosa, junibra subtus secua costam*
puberula,, S1-^ poll, longa, li-2| lata, petiolo vix i-poll. Flores in fascicules oppo-
sitifolios multitioros sessiles vel brevissime peduneulatos congesti. Pedlcelli abbre-
viati» fulvo-tomentosi. Sepala rotandata, decidua. Petala vix J-pollicaria, ovata,
exteriora paulio majora. Stamina prioris. Ooaria, circa 10, strigoso-pilosa, in conum
conniventia, stylo ovali. Torus fnictus dilatatus, globosus, cicatricibus maguis i*otuii-
datis uniserialibus lateralibus notatus. Carpella 4-6, late ovalia, utrinque obtusa,
brevissime pedicellata, 1—Ii poll, longa, laevia, fulvo-puberula, pnlposa, mature, l&te
flava. Semina 8^-6.

Arbor ramosissima, foliosa. IRamuli graciles, virgati, cortice cinereo glabro rugu-
loso, juniores puberuli; geinmce fusco-scricesc. Folia basi acuta, saepius longissime
acuminata, apice plerumque obtusa, 2^-4 poll louga, f~li lata, pet. gracili i-poll.,
coriacea, utrinque giabra, supra nitida, petiolo et costa subtus jmbescentibos, demum

alte coalita, coriacea, sestivatione valvata. Petala nidla. Stamina 3-
18, monadelpha; antberis ovalibus vel liuearibus, extrorse bilocukribus,
iongftadinaliter dehiscentibas, columnse varie adnatis. Ovariuvi ple-
rumque solitarium (rarisshne 2 discreta), liberum, centralea subglobosum,
ovulo 1 erecto anatropo; stigmate subsessili, lobato vel depresso-capi-
tato. J^-wc^bivalvis, inouospermus. Semen erectum, arillo involutum.
